This weekend was one of the most fun I’ve had in quite a while, I hope you all enjoyed yours as well! Between hanging out with family and friends over Thanksgiving and then watching some of the best college football games of the season on Saturday, I don’t know how it could have been much better.
My wife and I are also starting a kitchen cabinet refinishing project tomorrow, since I have the week off of work. We have some older honey-oak cabinets and are trying to darken and modernize them just a tad. Hopefully this frugal home improvement task doesn’t turn into something way more expensive!
November In Review
November income was down a little from October but above the norm still! I had the opportunity to make some extra income by buying and selling several used iPhones from coworkers, which can be well worth it if you know the market. Most folks don’t know how valuable their used smartphone can be so they trade it in for pennies on the dollar. You can read here for more about that.
November expenses were slightly more than average but that’s OK, the extra money was spent on buying the aforementioned iPhones for resale. YTD our average expenses have been around $3200/month, which is fine for where we are in our lives.
The Mortgage is still on track for our extremely early payoff date, we’re officially $27,250 away from paying it off. By my calculation that should only be 17 more payments!
I also opened up my first Roth IRA this month, which I’m excited about contributing to. Thank you all for your encouragement there!
