If you are looking for some thought-provoking books about personal finance, here are a few that have taught me quite a bit. And, in some cases, radically changed the way I think about money.
1. Your Money Or Your Life
I can’t say enough about this book and the way it’s transformed my relationship with money. From the fulfillment curve to defining enough, this book has plenty of stories and challenges that will get you thinking “outside the box” about money and the reasons we pursue it. I recommend it to anyone who has ever earned a paycheck.
2. Trading For A Living
If you have an interest in technical trading in the stock market, I highly recommend this book. Alex Elder’s ability to explain complex subjects in an easy-to-understand manner is unbelievable, especially in the area of mass-psychology and crowd tendencies. Trading stocks became a lot less intimidating to me after finishing this book.
3. The Richest Man In Babylon
My dad encouraged me to read this book when I was a teenager and I’m very happy I did! This book can encourage sound financial principles like saving and investing, and it does it through a story set in ancient Babylon. It’s a fun, easy way to gain some more financial wisdom. Available for Kindle!
